Such a nice park for waterfowl and other birds.
These are American White Pelicans
The breeding adults get these keratinous appendages on the crest of their bills in the spring. They lose them in the fall.
It took some doing, however I eventually got through to three of these geese. They eventually understood my request on how I needed them to pose. One behind, one in front, and one under. The fourth one refused to climb on top though!
These are White-faced Ibis. Ibises, Ibisses... yeah, something like that.
These Double Crested Cormorants look like they missed the boat.
This is an American Coot.
I love that you can see this Coot's red eye reflected in the water.
Love this shot. Double Crested Cormorant. Got lucky. He only kept lunch visible for a second before it slid down his throat.
These are Tree Swallows. So pretty.
I believe this is a Brewer's Blackbird. Happily strutting about on the ground in the park.
