This Northern Mockingbird was doing some kind of ritual. He would fly up a couple of feet and then set back down. Over and over about every 30 seconds sometimes.

Sorry for the entomology lesson... LOL This is a rear view of a flesh fly, Sarcophaga haemorrhoidalis. It shows the reason it received its species name.
